About CAHP

The roots of this organization began at California State University East Bay campus by a group of students wanting to make a difference in the spare time they had between balancing a full-time course schedule, exams, homework, & regular jobs. After our first fundraiser, we raised $1,500 that would be the seed for our first school of 28 orphaned boys in Logar Province & employing 3 accredited teachers. From that point forward, it was the mission of C.A.H.P. to help bring education to Afghanistan that we ourselves were working so hard to attain here in America.

C.A.H.P. was officially established as a 501(c)(3) non profit organization in August 2005 to help fill a void that so desperately needed attention: education in Afghanistan.

Our mission is quite simple: minimize our expenses, maximize our scope, & reach those communities in Afghanistan that have the least access to basic education. Education is the key element to finally rebuilding this nation that has seen only devastation for the last three decades. Education is the key to bringing peace to the remote villages & spreading hope amongst the nation.

While we provide the tools necessary for those teachers & students in Afghanistan, we are also building our community locally. Each event we hold is a means of bringing our diverse community here in America together so we can understand one another & build a relationship on knowledge. It also helps us acknowledge that our needs & dreams are the same as the needs & dreams of the people of Afghanistan.
